As we all know that prom dresses are not daily dresses that can just wear one or two times. Generally, you spent lots of time and energy to find out the perfect prom dress. Then you only got to wear it one night! Here are a few ideas that will give you the opportunity to re-wear your favorite prom dress:
1. Have it shortened
You’ll likely find a lot more opportunities to wear a short cocktail dress than you will with a formal long evening dress. Take your prom dress to a tailor to have it shortened and hemmed. This way, you can rock your gown at cocktail parties or weddings and dress it either up or down depending on the event.
2. Wear with different outwear, shawl and accessories
Some formal dresses are strapless, one shoulder, off shoulder or other necklines. You can match with different shawls, outwear and accessories to different your look. Generally, simple elegant dresses are easily matched than some very sophisticated heavy and featured dress.
3. Make a maxi skirt
If you have no problem cutting into your dress, this option is perfect for a fashionista. Maxi skirts are all the rage right now, and you can cut your floor-length prom gown in half to make your own!
4. Host a party
If you want an excuse to wear your prom dress again, then make one up! Host your very own prom party with all of your friends, and have them all wear the dresses they wore to the big high school event. This time around, you can experiment with different accessories to create a whole new look with the same dress.
So, friends, which way do you prefer?
